Ovivo is a world leader in water purification and treatment, employing over 1500 water treatment experts across the globe, and holding over 150 years of expertise and references in water treatment. It is owned by SKion Water, a global technology solution provider and plant manufacturer and subsidiary of SKion GmbH.

Ovivo offers advanced water and wastewater treatment solutions, including ultrapure water systems for high-tech industries, municipal treatment technologies, industrial wastewater solutions, and cutting-edge PFAS removal and destruction technologies. 

For ultrapure water, notable products supplied by Ovivo include Acoustic Particle Counters for a higher signal-to-noise particle counting technique in comparison to light scattering technologies. The brand is NanoPULS, which employs an ultrasound detection method that ensures a high signal-to-noise ratio even for sub-10nm particles. Ovivo have also recently worked with Elemental Scientific to develop analytical technology for sub-1ppb metal detection in ultrapure water.

Ovivo also develops entire ultrapure water systems for end-users, manufactured and assembled off-site, allowing issues to be resolved quickly and at a lower cost prior to arriving on-site. Strategy

Ovivo is actively focusing on addressing emerging water contaminants and enhancing its technological capabilities in water treatment. In February 2024, as part of this strategy, Ovivo acquired E2metrix, a Canadian tech company specializing in PFAS destruction. Together, they look to develop and commercialize a complete integrated solution to treat and destroy PFAS and other emerging contaminants present in water and wastewater. They are currently piloting a solution in Alabama, USA, that has delivered impressive results with up to 99% reduction of PFOS and PFOA and over 85% reduction of total detectable PFAS in the water treated.

Whilst the venture currently targets municipal drinking water, future pilots will target industrial wastewater in North America.

In 2025, Ovivo will also be opening a new design centre in Kaunas, Lithuania, focusing on piping and plant design for their UPW and wastewater treatment systems. The plant will serve the semiconductor and pharmaceuticals industries.
