While IPA may meet purity specifications at the point of manufacture, contaminants can be introduced throughout the chemical supply chain. This presentation uses mass spectrometry, ICP-MS, and custom particle analysis to profile high-purity and ultra-high-purity IPA and to evaluate two PTFE filter media. The results show that metals are well controlled, organics differ significantly and deserve further attention, and no single membrane addresses all contaminant types.
