The semiconductor manufacturing industry produces large amounts of low-pH, metal laden wastewater that traditionally is untreatable and non-compliant to RCRA discharge regulations. Consequently, semiconductor fabricators often are left with one choice – trucking their wastewater off-site for disposal at significant cost or accruing fines. This can eat up significant OPEX budget without providing any return of investment besides maintaining production capacity. This presentation's novel ECD process packaged as a WSA presents itself as a solution to the challenges
this industry faces in achieving their internal initiatives.
