Copper removal is a persistent challenge in fab wastewater, particularly as discharge limits tighten and sustainability targets grow more ambitious. This presentation shares results from a pilot program at a semiconductor manufacturing site that tested a new electrochemical approach for recovering copper directly from concentrated waste streams. It walks through pilot design, operating experience, and performance results, highlighting how on-site recovery can reduce sludge generation, eliminate off-site hauling, and return high-purity copper for reuse while maintaining compliance and operational reliability
