ZLD systems are among the most difficult and costly parts of a fab's water treatment train, and scaling, solids handling, and corrosion are common causes of downtime. This presentation shares practical design lessons for reliable, cost-effective ZLD, including a modernized brine concentrator–crystallizer with automated self-cleaning, scale prevention tools, and solids management based on salt crystal behavior. It also offers metallurgy recommendations for semiconductor brines, balancing corrosion resistance, lead time, and cost.
