Puronics, which was acquired by Franklin Electric in 2021, is a water treatment equipment manufacturer which produces ultrafiltration, microfiltration, carbon filtration, reverse osmosis and ultraviolet disinfection technologies. Puronics began as Ionics Consumer Water Products Group in 1947, and its Technology Toolbox includes electrodeionization, ozonation, reverse osmosis, and multi-media filtration. Though Ionics became an independent company in 2006, Puronics continues to manufacture Ionics and Puronics brand products. Mainly serving residential and commercial clients, the company also serves the electronics industry.
