MWH is a leading US contractor specialising in water construction projects, acquired by Japanese constructor Obayashi Corporation in 2023. In the industrial space, it focuses on projects for ultrapure water systems, wastewater treatment and reuse facilities, air handling and chemical systems, and clean rooms. The company has experience providing solutions for the semiconductor industry, as well as other industries such as data centres and green energy. MWH provides professional construction management services throughout all project phases, and employ methods such as collaborative delivery models, 3D and 4D modelling, and augmented reality walk-throughs.

From 2016 MWH has been working with a semiconductor client on a number of small-scale projects, providing integrated construction services that include planning, budgeting, design, permitting, scheduling, value engineering (VE), construction management, commissioning, and on-site emergency response.

The company has also completed work for a global semiconductor manufacturer to develop, design, construct, and operate a facility to treat their fabrication facility wastewater for reuse and generate zero liquid discharge. It reclaimed water on the facility using Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) /Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) alongside other advanced water treatment systems.
